Hettie E. Carr, "Liz" 83, passed away on November 25, 2017. She was born on January 17, 1934 to the late Clarence and Bulah May Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Vallee; her son Darin Carr; sister, Judy (Mitchell) Peterson; brothers-in-law, Bob Miller, James Payne, and Donald Strong.
Survivors include her daughter Debbie (Steve) Brubaker; sons Larry and Terry (Theresa) Carr; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Francis Miller, Norma Payne, and Marie Strong, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Pastor Tommie Nicholas will officiate. Family and friends may call two hours prior from 5-7pm.
