Hilda M."Sandy" Mchale

Hilda M. "Sandy" McHale, 89, passed away surrounded by family on June 3, 2017 under the care of ClearPath Hospice. She was born November 5, 1927 in Akron to late parents, Clyde and Vernie Elliott. According to her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Jack, Sandy was a "marvelous person," and they had a long, wonderful life together. Sandy loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her neighbors, and her daily visits from Bruno the boxer from next door. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge during the winter and golfing during the summer with marvelous friends, and baking and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Francis Patterson; and grandson, Paul Martin. She is survived by husband, Jack; son, William (Marjorie) McHale; daughter, Nancy McHale; grandchildren, Nancy (Walter) Harold, Casey (Mike) Hoag, Melissa (Mike) Falkenstein; 9 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Karen and Judy.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ClearPath Hospice. The family would like to thank nurse Debbie for the excellent care Sandy received.
