Hildreth "Belle" Dibona (Moore)
Hildreth Belle Dibona, 85, of Akron passed away October 11, 2009 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center. Belle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph. She was born August 30, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to the late Bedford and Pearl (Sayre) Moore. She graduated from Thornville High School in 1942. Belle worked at The General Tire Company for many years prior to becoming a seamstress and homemaker. She was an active member in the Tallmadge Primetimers Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling and winning at the casinos. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan that never missed a game. She was the loving mother of sons, Joseph Dibona of Green and James Dibona of Columbus; daughter, Joanne (Jim) Channell of Kirtland Hills; a devoted grandmother to, Maria Dibona, Denielle (Walter) Carey, Joseph (Tara) Dibona, Sandi Albright and Kayla Channell; a caring great-grandmother to Giovanni Carey, Audrey and Maddox Dibona; dearest sister of Donald Moore and Darlynne (Robert) Woodring, she is also survived by niece, Carol (Russell) School, sister-in-law, Marion Debona, Holly Dibona, Lisa Popson, and many more friends and family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Moore; and niece, Barbara House. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center for the wonderful care given to their mother/grandmother. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. The family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center.
