Hollie A. Sloan

Hollie A. Sloan, 47, of Brimfield, passed away peacefully at her home on August 12, 2019. She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 20, 1971. She graduated from Lake High School in 1989. She was very involved in Field Schools Youth sports, serving as secretary of Youth Football and the scorekeeper for softball teams. She was an avid Alabama Crimson tide fan. She loved animals, especially her beloved dogs, Jorja and Junior. Hollie was employed with Davey Tree Expert Company for thirteen years. She was preceded in death by her father, William A. West III; stepfather, Kenneth J. DiCeglio; and grandfather, Lawrence A. Mallory. Hollie will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 13 years, Ronnie E. Sloan Jr.; mother, Laurie DiCeglio; children, Erica (Ryan), Kamryn, Haley, Jacob, Justin, and Anna; brother, William A.West IV; niece, Ashlynn; grandmother, Donna Mallory; mother-in-law, Rose (Jeff) Werstler; sister-in-law, Tammy Sloan; niece and nephew, Trinity and Destin; Debra and Joe Agualo; many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER AKRON, 131 N. Canton Rd.. A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Brenda Young at 7:00 p.m. Per Hollie's request, please dress casually and wear pink in her memory.
