Holly Lynn Reese

Holly Lynn Reese, 59, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20, 2017. She was born in Akron on July 27, 1957 to parents Owen Lee and Ann Marie Phifer. Holly's calling in life was a mother, grandmother, wife and geriatrics caregiver - putting others before herself. Her patients became her family and she became part of theirs. Holly adored her family and lived for her kids and granddaughter. She was an avid sports fan. (Go Bucks!) Through her lifetime she played basketball, softball, volleyball, and bowling. She loved playing golf with her husband and mom.

Holly was preceded in death by her father, Owen Lee Phifer; brother, David Lee Phifer; and sister, Karen Anne Klugh. She is survived by her beloved husband of 12 years, Mark; children, David Lee (Karen) Hornbeck, Mark William (Van) Hornbeck, Natalie Ann-Renee (Eric) Pinto; granddaughter, Ayden Genevieve Hornbeck; mother, Ann Marie Wyse; brother, Eric Owen Phifer; many nieces and nephews; and dog, Zoey. She will be deeply missed and we look forward to the time when we will be together in glory.

Family will welcome guests on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, followed by a celebration of life at 7:00pm.
