Homer E. Cook

Homer E. Cook, 67, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2011. Homer was affiliated with Gospel Crusaders Church. He served as a military policeman with the US Air Force. Homer retired from Plastikote Paint Co. and enjoyed collecting model airplanes. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; and his brother, Lynn. Survivors include his wife, Mary, of 35 years; sons, Tom (Terry) and Jeff Cook, and Rick (Barb) Coulter; daughters, Cathy Berish, Mary Allebach, and Lori (Mike) Washnock; sisters, Tressie (Cliff) Choate, Ida (Randy) Whipkey, Oneida (Walt) Taylor, Ellie, Patty, and Helen; brothers, Joe (Betsy) and John (Mary) Cook; 10 grandchildren; and special friends, Phil and Candice Kinion. The family wishes to thank the staff at Select Hospitals for the care given to Homer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 3 p.m. at Gospel Crusaders Church, 2240 Goodyear Blvd., Akron.
