Honglen Barron

Honglen Yvonne Barron, 90, passed away on July 6, 2023. She was born on June 21, 1933 the daughter of the late You Chung and Mariam D. Lem. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Mogadore Baptist Church. Honglen better known as Yvonne enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, card games and crocheting. She was an avid reader especially romance novels. Yvonne had a passion for creating beauty and grew beautiful roses with meticulous care and attention to detail so that her roses would bring joy to anyone fortunate enough to experience their splendor. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, beautiful smile and the great love in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of over 50 years, Albert "Sonny" Barron; sibling Wah Lem, Doong W. Lem, and Gongslen Lem; and son-in-law Jim Swartz.
Yvonne is survived by her loving family, children Marie (Dean) Cutlip, Joyce DeCastro, Ruth Swartz, and Orlo (Angela) Barron; grandchildren Sara, Leah, Crystal, Christina, Nicci, Cassandra, Samuel, and Josef; six great-grandchildren; sister Jonmoy Leverett; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Center (3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333) for their love, compassion and support of Yvonne Barron and family.
Yvonne's family will be having a small service and a celebration of life luncheon from 12-3 for family and friends on Aug. 12th at Mogadore Baptist Church 3750 Albrecht Ave. Akron, Oh 44312
