Hope Vanessa Hoover, 79, of Akron, passed away December 12, 2005. Hope was born July 11, 1926 in Windber, PA to the late Joseph and Amanda Jones. She retired from Edwin Shaw Hospital after 27 years of service and was a longtime member of Sawyerwood Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bud and Mervin and sister, Ruby. She is survived by sons, Dennis (Janet), Dan (Barb), Doug (Carolyn), and Dale (Brenda); brothers, Dick and Joe; sister, Gertrude; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Sawyerwood United Methodist Church, 956 Mohawk Tr. Online condolences may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com.
