Howard Blair White "Howie"
Howie went Home to the Lord on December 10, 2011 after fighting cancer with courage, faith and dignity. He was born December 13, 1961 in Akron and he attended Garfield High. Before starting his own business as a contractor he worked at Atlas Van Lines & Fred J. Crisp. He was preceded in death by his Father Robert White; Mother Nancy (Miller) Roberts; Brother Robert White Jr.; Uncle Jack Foughty; and Nephew Jamie Monroe. He is survived by his beloved Sons Jacob (Dana) & Justin (Amanda); Grandsons Camden & Callum; Brothers and Sisters William Bryan (Sandra), Debra Shumaker, Roberta (Mike), Doug, Pat (Kathy), Duke (Chris) & Dave; Aunt Dorothy Foughty; Nephews Christian (Kelly), Little Bobby, Bryan, Billy (Tonya), Steven, Mark, Christopher, Andrew & Robby; Nieces Kasey (Joe), Amanda (Zack), Marchana, Melissa, Jill, Rachel (Johnny), Jessica (JL), Lea, Nicole, Randi, Stephanie, Monica, Missy, Sunshine, Reanna & Nyokia; Fiancee and Best Friend, Melissa Milks who provided his care with great love; Kyle, Jodi & Ivan; Former Wife Barbara Stefan Cursio & mother of Jacob, Kimberly Roy; Stepbrothers & Sister Randy, Tim, & Sue; his Best Friend Tony (Jeanette) Cirignano; many Cousins; Great Nephews/Nieces and Friends. Howard loved life and lived it to the fullest. His love for his children led him to coach many Coventry youth football and baseball teams. He took pride in teaching his boys the important things in life… Love, Laughter, Faith, the will to help others & the value of true friendship. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, four wheeling, & spending time with his family. Howard's favorite holiday was Christmas, this year he has received the most precious gift of all: he will celebrate it with Jesus. Visitation will be Friday December 16 from 3:00 -6:00 followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Brenda Young officiating at Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, 578 Killian Rd., Akron, OH 44319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
