Howard Stephen Duma

Pastor Howard Stephen Duma, age 73, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Wednesday evening, December 21, 2022 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 19, 1949 in Clinton, Ohio, and was the son of the late Howard Paul and Doris Violet (nee Bogdanoff) Duma.

He is survived by his former wife, Connie (nee Hyre) Duma; his beloved children, Rebecca Duma, John (Anita) Duma, Deborah (Rick) Clinton, and his "daughter" Pamela Cobb; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his loving sisters, Sandy Reno, Tonya Squibb, Elaine Harpool, and Lori Rendall; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn his loss.

Pastor Howard was saved at the Billy Graham crusade on July 19, 1972 at the age of 23. He served the Lord as a Pastor for almost 50 years. He was the founder of Akron Bible Church and ABC International. Howard was a soul winner and loved people. He spread the Word of God throughout the world and preached the Gospel to many nations. Countless lives were touched and changed forever because of his testimony and ministry. He was a father to many and will always be remembered for his love and passion for Jesus, motorcycles, and his family. We are sure as he entered the gates of heaven he heard the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant".

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Randy Baker will celebrate Pastor Howard's life.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
