Howard F. "Fred" Propst



Howard F. "Fred" Propst, 74, passed away on January 15, 2009. Fred served with the US Army during the Korean War and was a truck driver for American Freight for 23 years. He was a member of the Teamsters and a "Jack of all trades". Fred spent his life helping others with anything and everything. He was preceded in death by his mother Lura Propst. Survivors include his loving wife Carolyn of 51 years; daughter Diana Propst (fiancee Michael Boden); son Fred Harold (Debbie) Propst; grandchildren Joshua Scott and David Lee Propst; great-granddaughter Alexis Marie Salla; sisters Freda Craft, Wanda Church, Elma Sempko, and Carolyn Riley; brother William Propst; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
