Hue L. Jones II, 72, of Akron OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born to parents Hue L. Jones, Sr. and Hilda (Lanik) Jones on January 26, 1948 .
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother Emil; and nephews.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Bertha of 49 years; His 3 children, Hue Jones III, Angela LeMasters, and Melissa (Jeff) Dyrlund; His 6 grandchildren, Robert McLean(Shannon), Justin LeMasters(Taylor), Tyler and Carson Dyrlund, Alex Tokarski, and Viviane Cornell; His 3 great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Aviannah and Evelyn. We cannot forget his dog Buster.
Brothers and sisters; Paul Jones(Lois), Jesse Jones(Cindy), Marty Jones(Sherry), Julie Jones, Jayne England(Ron) and Laura Urbanek. He also leaves behind Aunts, Uncles, many nieces, nephews, friends and his Tallmadge Church of Christ family.
Hue was known by many as a wonderful, caring man who loved to help others. He was an avid gardener who could grow just about anything. Even though he couldn't hear very well he was a great conversationalist, full of stories. Hue was a Christian who loved listening to old gospel music and volunteering at church. He loved helping people, especially his family, and he has even helped a few friends that didn't want it. He may have been yelled at a few times for it. If Grandpa can't fix it, nobody can! Hue worked in the coal mines, was a welder, and retired from Yellow Freight Trucking Company. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will truly be missed.
Hue was a Veteran in the United States Army, 9th Infantry Division, who served his country in the Vietnam War in 1967 and 1968. He was awarded an Army Commendation Medal and a Vietnam service medal.

Full Military Service to be held, at a later date, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
