Hugh "Barry" Gray

Hugh "Barry" Gray, born May 17, 1942 to Herman and Elizabeth Gray in Lenoir, TN, passed away unexpectedly April 12, 2008. Barry was raised in Tennessee moving to Akron in 1986. He served in the Army as a paratrooper. Barry was a meat cutter for more than 45 years, retiring in 2006 from Giant Eagle. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, whom he adored, Joyce; son Vincent Metz; daughters Kimberly Metz, Laura (Keith) Emhoff, Barbara (Walt) Craig all of Akron; brother Jerry Gray; sisters Becky Hall and June Coates all of TN. He will be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren and beloved dogs Griffin and Toby. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Home Missionary Baptist Church, 1922 Oakes Dr, Akron where Funeral services will take place Wednesday with the Rev Keith Emhoff officiating.
