Hugh C. "Huey" Smith
October 28, 1942 — February 24, 2018
Hugh C. "Huey" Smith, 75, died suddenly surrounded by family on February 24, 2018. He retired after 28 years of service at Summit County Environmental. Hugh was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He loved golfing, bowling, NASCAR, Ohio State football, and providing for his family.
Hugh is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anita; children, Jason Smith, Kevin Smith, Troy Smith; step-children, Joshua Benedum, Heather Reich; 7 grandchildren; sister, Myrna (George) Abson; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
