I. Carol Woods, 70, passed away on November 10, 2008. Carol enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, sewing, puzzles, fishing trips with Mike and Christine, and staying at her sister Erma's in the summer. She was a very loving, generous individual and a wonderful mother. She was preceded in death by her parents Alva and Bessie Brooks and her daughter Barbara Carol Woods. Survivors include daughters Patricia Lynn Clayton, Tena Marie Cross, and Beverly Jayne Smith; sisters Erma (Bud) Redden and Connie (Robert) Martin; brothers Don (Sylvia) Brooks, Alva Brooks, Jr., and James Michael Brooks; grandchildren Timothy Alan Woods, Jennifer Renea Scott, April Marie Cross, Stacei Rachelle Friend, and Sonja Alane Friend; 8 great-grandchildren; and dear friend Jerri Friend. Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.
