Ida L. Sycks

Ida L. Sycks, 69 of Uniontown, passed away on January 9, 2017. She was born in Akron, OH to the late Donald and Bernice Straight. She retired as a Certified Pharmacy Technician after 25 years of service. Ida was a loving and devoted wife who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and shopping. Her greatest passion was her family. You could always count on YaYa.

In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her sister, Madonna Wilson; and brother, Frank Straight. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 45 years, Daniel; daughter, Lori (Bryan) Hippich; son, Gary (Sandra) Sycks; grandchildren, Emily, Katelyn, Alexander, Kyle, Jake and Luke; sister, Kimmie Straight Arny; brother, Don Straight; and many other extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday January 13, 2017 from 10am-11:30 am with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
