Idris J. Barwick, 45, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly from Springfield Township, Ohio, passed away August 20, 2010. He was born June 2, 1965 in Malaca, Malaysia. At 18 years of age, he received his pilot's license. Idris served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After leaving the Marine Corps, he worked for Mesa Airlines as a Station Manager. He worked as a mortgage broker and was just in the process of starting his own business. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Ericksen (Chad) and LaTarran Brown (Kevin); son, Geoffrey Barwick; father and mother, Robert and Wiltrud Barwick; sisters, Susan Barwick and Sandra Husk; brother, Martin Barwick; grandchildren, Serenity and Annelieze Smith, Mason Brown and one unborn grandchild; 2 nephews and 1 niece; step grandmother, Barbara Barwick; and aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be Sunday, 3-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park with Firestone VFW 3383 providing military honors.
