Together Forever.
On Saturday, February 20th, 2021, another angel was sent to heaven.
Inga Garrett was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who passed away at the age of 68.
Inga was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, where she resided with the love of her life, Junior (Glenn) and where she raised her three children.
She has a large family, which includes 12 siblings, and five grandchildren.
Inga's favorite pastime was talking to her sisters, Dreena and Mel, her brother, Kim, her sister-in-law, Janie, and her best friend, Shirley on the phone as often as she could.
She also was looking forward to having a nice cold beer, she always asked about, with her brother Larry.
Sadly, that wasn't able to happen, but she would have loved spending time with him. He made her laugh.
She would spend her days watching Hallmark movies while sipping on her very favorite drink, McDonald's caramel frappes.
Inga also enjoyed lunch dates with her daughter Garnett, at their favorite restaurant, Winks Drive in.
She also loved watching videos she found on the internet, of babies laughing and children being silly.
She loved the little ones.
Inga had great memories of spending time with her grandson, Jacob, and his fiance, Des.
They both selflessly devoted their time, to take care of her when she was sick, by moving in with her until she was well.
Her grandson, Lucas, made her smile by his humor.
She loved his relaxed demeanor and his red beard, that reminded her of his grandfather, Junior (Glenn).
Inga loved spending her afternoons eating "gourmet meals" with her granddaughter, Kelsey, who would cook for her every day.
Inga was cared for by daughter Misty, her son in law Danny, Granddaughter Kelsey and grandsons Jake and Luke.
In her last days, her daughter Garnett was by her side, to help Misty care for her.
Her son Glenn Jr made sure she had her a Carmel frappe, because that's pretty much all she wanted in her final days.
She will be greatly missed by her Children, grandchildren and siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bender, her mother, Edna (Reynolds) Bender, her sister, Sheena Tanner, and her loving husband who spoiled her rotten, Junior (Glenn) Garrett.
She is survived by her three children Glenn (Heather), Garnett (Buddy), Misty (Danny), along with her five grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Kelsey, Kyler, Grayson.
Due to Covid-19 and the lasting effect it had on Inga, there will be absolutely no services in order to protect others from this horrible virus.
Her immediate family will be having a dinner together to celebrate her life as soon as it is safe enough to do so.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in Inga's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the St. Baldrick's Foundation because of her love for babies and children.
