Irene J. Lewis, 84, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2012. She was born in Craigsville, WV on October 21, 1927. She married and raised her family in Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mildred "Midge" Lewis and her parents, Grover and Florence Wilson of West Virginia.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Collins; grandchildren, Dave (Crystal) Collins; great-grandchildren, Marisa and Jordan Collins; brother, Frank (Tillie) Wilson.
Private family service will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
