Irene R. Filing, 77, passed away April 28, 2010. Irene was born May 19, 1932 in Akron to the late Philip and Mary (nee Sabetta) Filing. She was an avid fan of basketball and football and enjoyed spending time with Shaker. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by brothers, Philip Jr. and Donald E.; and niece, Amy. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Phyllis); nephews, Douglas, Dennis, Donald (Deb), Daniel, David, and Stephen; niece, Lisa; great nephews and great nieces, Daniel Jr., Shana, Matthew, Nicholas, and Brittany. Visitation will be Sunday from 12-2 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Private burial will take place at a later date.
