Therese Irene Smith (nee Law)

Irene Smith (nee Law) 80, was born in Akron on November 16, 1926, and resided there until she was welcomed into Heaven on January 6, 2007. Irene was a life long parishioner of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Irene is preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Esther Law; sister Regina Helms and brother in laws Bob Helms and Joe Haley. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Lawrence "Teddy"; her children Patrick (Sue) Smith, Jeanie (Roger) Vernotzy, Tim (Bonnie) Smith, Ann (Butch) Gour, Mary (John) Jones, Therese (Shorty) Hutchens, Rita Smith, Monica Smith, Joan Grant and Terri (Jim) Securro. She will be sadly missed by her 31 grand children; 54 great grand children; 2 great great grand children and her special nephew Brian Black. She also leaves to mourn her sister Mary Haley, Sister in laws Pauline Mullett, Betty Rowe, Norma Hayes, Donna (Charles) Martin, Mary Dobbins; Brother in law Sonny (Mary Ann) Smith. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Annunciaton Catholic Church.
