Iris A. Jones, 79, of Green, left this world on April 4, 2005 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Iris was born in Cuyahoga Falls on August 9, 1925 and graduated from East High School in 1942. She was a former member of S. Arlington United Methodist Church and a current member of Greensburg United Methodist Church. Iris was also a member of the Methodist Women, Thursday Morning Bible Study, and Green Good Neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Guy R. and Evelyn F. Lance; husband, Ralph in 1998; brother, Norman Lance; and sister, Marshie McDaniels. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Ellis; sons, Tim and Greg (Susan); grandchildren, Chris, Guy, and Jonnae; great-grandchildren, Emily Hope and Gabrielle Celeste; brother, Dan (Treva) Lance; sisters, Irene (Coy) Givens, Emma (James) Duncan, Phyllis (Gene) Rhoades, and Deborah Baldwin. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Namy officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
