Isom Wilcox, 70, of Akron passed away October 15,2006, following an extended illness. Born in Paintsville, KY to the late Samuel & Sally Wilcox. Isom had served in the U.S. Army, attended the Mogadore Baptist Church and had enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed baseball, horseshoes and numerous sports activities. Survived by his wife of 48 years, sons; Samuel (Mary), Michael, Gregory, Jonathan (Tracy),and Gary S. Wilcox, sisters; Angie and Francis, brothers; Willard (Alice) Wilcox, Ray (Katherine) Wilcox; and a very dear friend Sandra Richards. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron,Ohio 44305. Interment will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
