Issac Roland Stover

Issac Roland Stover, "Ike", age 18 of Akron, Ohio, Coventry Twp., passed away, with his loving family beside him, on January 25, 2018 at Akron General Hospital.

He was born in Akron on June 24, 1999, the son of Jason Eric and Jessica (nee Homan) Stover, with whom he lived.

Issac was a senior at Coventry High School where he was highly active. He was a feared and respected All Star Middle Linebacker, Team and Defensive Captain for the Coventry Comets, #CoventryStrong, #51Strong. He had an abundance of close friends he enjoyed spending time with. You could always count on him for a smile and a joke. Ike was always quick with a hug. Ikey was an outstanding mentor and role model to his siblings and cousins. He was an avid lover of all sports, including the Ohio State Buckeyes-his favorite team. He pushed everyone to their fullest, on or off the team. He will forever be missed and our hearts will never be the same.

Other than his parents, survivors include his siblings, Wyatt Stover and Lucy Stover; his grandparents, Gary and Jackie Stover and Cindy (nee Homan) Roland; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those that preceded Issac in death are his great-grandparents, Thomas and Lucille Homan, and Dennis and Freda Stover.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, from 4:00 - 9:00 PM.

Ike was a selfless individual and through the special guidance of LifeBanc, and the selflessness of his parents, gave the gift of life to save several people.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Go Fund Me account or c/o Jason Stover at any Chase Bank with a check or money order.
