Ivan Putnam Lewis
July 17, 1950 — December 23, 2021
Ivan Lewis, beloved husband and father, went home with our Heavenly Father on December 23, 2021.
Ivan was known for loving God, and his family, being a hard worker, and being well-read and knowledgeable. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox, NTL Boilermakers, and Local 744. He was a member of Grace Cathedral.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Enid, and brother David. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Teresa "Terri", daughters Rhonda (Michael Efremenko), Kelli, Tammi, sister Luralei, and family and friends.
Terri was his heartbeat since the age of 16. He was an earthly father example of God the Father. He never knew a stranger, making many friends over the years. Loved ones who have gone before him are blessed to reunite with his beautiful soul. He truly settled down in glory land.
A heartfelt thank you to Summa Hospice for the compassionate care of Ivan.
Calling hours are Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. Burial will take place Monday, January 10 at 1 p.m. at the Lewis Family Cemetery in Ritchie County, WV.
