Ivan S. Rennick, age 68, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2024 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born in Akron, Ohio to the late James and Darlene Rennick.
Ivan graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1975 right before joining the military.
Ivan retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of faithful service. While enlisted, he fought in Operation Desert Storm and Shield. For the last few years, he's been the family caregiver for those that needed him.
He was a member of the B Movie Club. He cherished his Tuesday Lunch club with his nephew. He loved movies and would always include a movie into gifts that he would give to others. Ivan also found great joy in feeding the neighborhood from his garden.
Ivan is survived by his siblings, Joyce Rennick-Ball, Leslie Brierly, Dawn Rennick and Terry (Michelle) Rennick; nieces and nephews, Desserai Ilg, Justtin Rennick, Raymond James Brierly, Jesse (Brooke) Tudini, Hanna (Casey) Richey; as well as four great-nephews, one great-niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and his family is planning a memorial for a date to be announced.
