Iverne Pruitt

Iverne Pruitt, age 95, went home to be with the LORD on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was born on September 16, 1928 in Akron to the late Sol and Edna Ingram. She was raised in East Akron and graduated from East High School. She was married to the late Ben W. Pruitt in 1947 until his passing in 1984. She raised three sons, Gregory and the late Gary, and Brian Jeffrey. She was a retired corporate secretary at Goodyear Rite and Rubber working for the head of the race tire division and the head of purchasing. Iverne raised her family in Green, Oh. Retiring to Ft. Myers, Fl. For over 40 years living in Port Carlos Cove since 1986. She will be dearly missed by her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Toni Pruitt; her grandchildren Ben, Greg, Jerry, Ashley Iverne, Brian, Christina Marie, and Matthew Pruitt; her many nieces and nephews from her late brother Hite and Ida Ingram, who lovingly called her Aunt Monk; her late sister Bernice; and four great-grandchildren Andi Iverne, and AJ; and finally, her many pets she loved so much over the years.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place and she will have a private interment.
