J. Marilyn Price, age 78, of Akron, Ohio, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.
She was born in Akron on October 19, 1939, the daughter of the late Edgar and Julia (nee Amstadt) Brown.
Marilyn was a graduate of Buchtel High School and was an administrative assistant for C. P. Hall Company. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, crocheting, and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, David F. "Dave" Price, whom she married on April 5, 1958; her four children, Jennifer "Jen" (Robert "Bob") Soisson, Jr., Patricia "Patty" Herrera, Julie (Bruce) Wyscarver, and David M. "Dave" (Debra "Deb") Price; 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her sister-in-law also survives, Carol Brown.
Other than her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Harold, and James Brown.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2018, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.
