J. Harold Shuster

Harold Shuster, age 96, of Akron, passed away on May 27, 2024 with family by his side just two days short of his 97th birthday. Born in Warren, Ohio on May 29, 1927 to Ivor and Loretta (Burns) Shuster. He was a Navy Veteran. He was a lifelong area resident and retired from National Standard Company and prior to had delivered bread for Nickels Bakery. He enjoyed fishing, baking cookies, arts and crafts, woodworking and tending to his garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years Virginia; son Brian and daughter-in-law Terri; son-in-law Peter Burdzel and siblings Bob, Norma Stanley, Carolyn Wagner. He is survived by his children Sharon Burdzel, Tim (Pam) Shuster, Susan (Ron) Moore; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday June 3rd 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:30 AM. Final resting place is Rose Hill Burial Park.
