Jack Allen Christner

Jack Allen "Poppy" Christner, age 87 of Akron passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was born in Meyersdale, PA on July 28, 1934 to the late Ralph and Sadie {Yoder} Christner.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son Dale Allen Christner and five brothers and sisters.
Jack will be dearly missed by his wife 67 years Alice; son Jim (Teresa Henthorn) Christner; grandchildren Dan (Mary) Albright, Dawn Thompson, Janeann Christner, Jed (Megan) Christner; many great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a life member of the Salsbury, PA VFW Post 8826. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 36 years of service.
Per Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place, and he will be laid to rest with his son at St. Paul Cemetery in Meyersdale, PA. To leave a message for Jack's family, please scroll below.
