Jack E. Honeycutt, age 62, lost life's final battle on March 29, 2013. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army as a highly decorated cobra crew chief and scout from 1969-1970 in Quan Loi, Vietnam. He was a partner/owner of Stow-Kent Barber Stylists in Stow for 25 years and Fox Den Barber Shop for 8 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Honeycutt and sister, Patti Taylor. He is survived by his sons, Jason (Monica) Honeycutt of Mantua, and Jonathan (Tina Gathers) Honeycutt of Cuyahoga Falls; mother, Grace Comstock of Akron; sister, Lizabeth (Daniel) Binns of Akron; grandsons, Kyle, Bryce, Jonas, and Cade; granddaughters, Ashly, Myranda, Terra, Bella, and Violet. He will be missed by an infinite number of extended family members, friends, customers, cohorts, and all those who ever had the pleasure of knowing him.
Friends may call 2-4 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44313 where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM following visitation. Service will be officiated by Pastor Dave Horner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. By his request, please do not wear a suit or fancy dresses or shed any tears.
