Jack LeRoy Morris Jr.
Jack LeRoy Morris Jr., the brilliant fine artist was called up by Jesus that his talents may add to the splendor of Heaven on Saturday, July 31st at the age of sixty-four. He was resting in his Atwater home surrounded by his family and friends when peace came to his soul and his new journey began. Born in Akron, Ohio on October 9th 1945, he was the first child born to Jack and Frances Morris. Blessed to a large family, he was greatly influenced by the love and guidance of his great-grandparents, Hiram and Kate Messner as well as his grandparents, Buff and Geneva Morris. In his youth he perfected his artistic abilities under Jack Richards in Ohio and at Madison Art Gallery under Robert Brackman N.A. in Connecticut. When he was not painting he was creating everlasting memories with his best friends, Mike and Pat Lynch. At the age of twenty-six he met his true love, Charlotte "Chris" Christine Norman and soon after took her hand in marriage. The love they shared grew each day more bountiful than his extensive gardens. A man of many interests he enjoyed repairing antique heirlooms and clocks as well as watching Doctor Who with his beautiful daughter Diana Lee and his son-in-law Andrew Garlock. His passion and creativity will live on in his two grandchildren Emmalea and Andrew Jack whom he adored and spoiled at every opportunity. Jack is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Chris" Morris; mother, Frances Morris; daughters, Diana (Andrew) Garlock and Lisa (Steve) Frame; sisters, Catherine (Tom) Weiss, Martha Gordon, Rona (Ron) Gravis, Cindy Grimm, and Stella Arnold; brother, Kim (Tammy) Morris; grandchildren, Emmalea and Jack Garlock and Torey, Kodi, and Austin Frame; and many nieces and nephews.
