Jack R. Carte, Sr.
Jack R. Carte, Sr., 70, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on January 26, 2008 after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born to Roy & Ruth Cart. God spread his wings and accepted him into heaven to join his parents and siblings, Donald, Eugene, Dorothy, Lorna and Margie. Jack was the youngest of six. With heaven's joyous occasion he leaves behind his five children, Jack Jr. (Brandi), Greg (Dori), Cathy Norris, Donna (Steve) Johnson, Dawn (Steve) Labay. He is survived by his favorite sister-in-law, Molly and nephew, Gary Smith. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, one of which is due to be born. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a long distance truck driver, and as a truck driver he earned his million mile ring without any incidents. He enjoyed traveling and spending time sharing his stories over coffee with his friends, family and his beloved cats. He spent the last several years with Bobbie whom he shared his heart with.
