Jacqueline Cruse, 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2020 after a long battle with dementia. Jackie was born June 8, 1947 to Jack and Helen (Garcea) Lynn. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1965 and spent a short time training to become a nun. Upon deciding it wasn't the life for her Jackie returned to Akron and attended Akron School of Practical Nursing and graduated as an LPN. She then worked at Akron Children's Hospital. Jackie had a feisty Italian personality and she greatly enjoyed listening to the Beatles, caring for her dogs and helping to raise her granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by husband, Paul; son, Michael Hnat. She will be sadly missed by loving daughter, Danielle; granddaughter, Felicia; great grandson, Wyatt; siblings, Jean (Tony) Cebator, Judy (Mike) Dubrabetz, Chris (Karla) Lynn, Joe Lynn; cousins, Tom (Donna) Garcea, Penny (Randy) Becker; former spouse, Mike (Edie) Hnat; nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jackie's name to the Humane Society of Summit County.
