Jaison William Portello, age 25, of Akron, died on December 18, 2020 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on June 9, 1995 in Barberton, the son of Bruce Smith Jr. of Akron and Christina Lyn Hornbeck and her companion, Ronald Sutphin, with whom he lived.
Jaison was a roofer for Brett Strain Roofing Company. He enjoyed playing video games, and sitting at home with his dog, Stella, however, his greatest times were hanging out with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jaison leaves behind to mourn his loss, his three brothers, Justin D. (Samantha McCune) Hornbeck, Mason D. Smith and Cameron S. Smith; his nieces, Miya and Arabella Hornbeck. His grandparents, Bruce and Judy (nee Rogers) Smith Sr. Jaison's companion also survives, Crystal Akers.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Hornbeck.
Visitation will be private at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
