James A. "Uncle Jimmy" Giustino, 88, of Tallmadge, passed away January 9, 2002 at Hospice Care Center with his family at his side. He was born August 7, 1913 in Italy to the late Michael & Carmela Giustino. He was a resident of Akron for 84 years, a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, retired manager of The President's Lounge in Akron and former owner of The Lucky Shoe Cafe. His life enjoyments were bocce ball, golfing, bowling, playing the mandolin and most recently playing cards at The President's Lounge. Above all, he loved family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita; brothers John and Orlando; special son-in-law Don Allen. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Edwyna "Winnie" Giustino; sons James (Sonya) Giustino, Chris (Donna) Stafford; daughters Carmela Allen, Elaine (Grant) Innocenzi, Sheri (Paul) Pynckel; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Rocco (Fran), Dan, Nick (Marge); sisters Mary Taffi, Rose (Stan) Bogich, Sue Pantuso, Josephine Majewski; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Church, Tallmadge, with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
