James A. House "Tadpole"
James A. "Tadpole" House, 71, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2011. He was listed in Who's Who International Register for his craftsmanship as a Brickmason, belonged to Bricklayers Local #7 and won the Golden Hammer Award for his work for Habitat for Humanity for Southern Portage County. James also won a silver medal for his wine making. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. James was preceded in death by his father, Herman House; mother & step-father, Joanne and James Ridenour; and grandmother, Esther House. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley; son, Shannon; granddaughter, Mikhayla; sisters, Patty (Gary) Carr and Karyle (Glenn) Bechdel; brothers, Charles (Jenni) Ridenour and James P. Ridenour; many loving aunts and uncles; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members. Cremation has taken place. Services to be held at a later date.
