James A. "Jimmy" Powell (aka J.A.P.), age 64, passed away on July 3, 2013. He was born on June 24, 1949 in Akron, OH. Jimmy retired from the City of Akron after 30 years of service. He is survived by his sister, Nancie (Ron) Graham and her mother, Elverna Murray, of Akron along with other relatives and friends.
Jimmy and his sister, Nancie, were placed in a children's home together in the 50's before they were sent separate ways. They reconnected 22 years ago after years of living only 2 miles apart. Over the past decades, we have enjoyed Jimmy's countless stories of traveling on his Harley. Friends may call 5-8 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305.
