James V. Ahlstrom

James V. Ahlstrom, 77, of Akron, passed away July 9, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1945 in Akron, Ohio. Jim was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Marines and he enjoyed watching western movies, listening to oldies music and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Connie; son, Eddie; grandson, Ryan. He will be sadly missed by his children, Jennifer (Mike) Bail, Jody Ahlstrom (Rob), James II (Jacqueline) Ahlstrom; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Courtnee, Josie, Rickell, Reagan, Eddie, Cooper, Reese, Mason, Maddox, Brynne and Sloane; 4 sisters and 1 brother; a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
