James C. Cook

James C. "Jimmy" Cook, age 37, passed away on July 19, 2013 after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on March 19, 1976 in Rome, NY to Charles H., Jr. and Julie E. Cook. Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy from 1998 thru 2008, stationed on a submarine and in recruiting. "Fair Winds and Following Seas." He enjoyed nature, bowling and spending time with his wife, children and family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Rachel R. Cook, children; Samantha, Brennan and Nathaniel Cook, parents, Charles H., Jr. and Julie E. Cook, brother, Christopher and Krissy Cook, nephew, Christopher Cook, Jr., grandfathers; Pete Cook and John Douglas, step-grandfather, William Lindloff, step-grandmother, Alex Lindloff, great grandmother, Avis Douglas, beloved family pet, Leroy and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers; Mary Cook and Edith Lindloff.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, 5-6 PM.
