James M. Carder, Sr.
James M. Carder, Sr., 58, of Springfield Township, passed away May 3, 2005. He was born August 17, 1946 to the late Robert & Margaret Carder and spent most of his life in Akron. James worked 36 years for SBC as a Lineman. He was a member of the Victory Masonic Lodge #649, and belonged to the NRA. James was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, woodworking and visiting K & R Conservation. He was a loving father and grandfather, a friend to many people who was always in a joyful mood and will be missed. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Dennis) Denham; sons, James, Jr. and William (Kara); and granddaughter, Olivia Payge Carder. Calling hours will be Thursday May 12 from 5 - 9 p.m at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Masonic services will be at 7 PM with a short reflection on James life at 7:30. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Sunset Cemetery in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Friday May 13 at 2 P.M.
