James E. Carpenter

James E. Carpenter, 76, of Akron, passed away on February 20, 2022. Jim was born on November 3, 1945 to the late Lawrence and Loretta Carpenter. After high school, Jim joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon leaving the service, he returned to Akron. He spent most of his career at Landmark Plastic Corporation, retiring in 2007.
Jim was a quiet man and enjoyed living simply. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Carpenter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Nancy Carpenter, brother, Dan Carpenter; and many other relatives and friends.
