James Allen Davis

James Allen Davis, 75, passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2023. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 21, 1947 to the late Clarence and Phyllis (Patti) Davis, he graduated from South High School in 1965. After graduation he went to diesel mechanic school and worked at Detroit Diesel for 30 years. After retirement Jim began a new career in real estate. He always had a joke to tell and could easily put a smile on your face. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing or just going for a walk. Jim enjoyed keeping busy and belonged to various groups; American Kennel Club, where he won many awards for the Plot Hounds he raised, Bigfoot, UFO, and American Society of Dowsers, where he was the current President.

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife of 26 years, Linda; sons, Jim (Sherri), Todd Davis, Rick Wallace; step-children, Lindsay Roberto, James Hostetler; grandchildren, Angie (Jerry) Powell, Amanda (Dustin) Brink, Ashley (Nate) Davis, Chelsea (Will) VanHook; great grandchildren, Aydin, Lily, Cyandrah, Adylaide, Elyana, Lucy, Zailya, Willie, Bennett, Jaxson, Silvia, Darion.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ohio Living Hospice for the dedicated and caring support of Jim throughout his journey.

Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal services. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jim's name to the animal rescue organization of their choice.
