James Glenn Davis Ii

James Glenn Davis II, 73, of Akron, passed away on September 10, 2023. Jim was born in Blue Ridge, Georgia on October 4, 1949 to the late James and Clara Jean Davis. He worked as a tire builder at General Tire for many years. Even after many processes were automated, Jim's skill set allowed him to hand build custom orders. He spent over twenty years working in home healthcare, a career he found very rewarding.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a green thumb and maintained beautiful gardens and plants. He also built and flew kites, loved his dogs, and colored way outside the lines.
He was a loving father and grandfather and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joann Davis.
Jim is survived by his sons, Aaron Davis, Jack (Debbie) Davis, and Ethan (Ali) Davis; sister, Jennette (Dean) Fox; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jim's life will be celebrated at the Davis family home on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Please contact the family for further details.
