James Dixon

James Dixon, 83, known to friends and family as "Little Man", went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2024. James was born in Canton, Ohio on May 18, 1941 to the late Wayman and Penny Dixon. After moving to Akron as a young man, James was introduced to Clara Vinson and they married on May 17, 1974 and began their family. 

James was a welder for most of his career. 

James was a longtime member of Faith Ministries in Akron. 

In his free time, James enjoyed bodybuilding. 

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

James was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Clara Dixon; sons, James Dixon Jr. and Johnny Dixon; stepchildren, Eddie M. Haines Jr. and Sherry Gibbs; eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Per James' wishes, cremation will take place and his family will celebrate his life privately.
