James E. "Jim" Harrison, 52, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2015.
Jim loved to go deer hunting and do anything outdoors. He loved to cook and was always helping others. Jim served with the US Army for 2 years.
Preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Lynn; companion, Robin Perusky; and nephew, Justin. Survivors include mother, Mary Davis; brothers, Joe (Kathy), Norman (Wendy), and Bob (Pam); children, David, Brandy, and Michael; niece, Katelynn; nephews, Dylan and Joe; aunt, Bernie; cousins, Brian, David, and Danny; and a host of other family members.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homeless Veterans.
