James E. Sinor, Jr.

James E. "Jim" Sinor, Jr., 63, of Akron, passed away on April 26, 2013 at Hospice Care Center. He was born on June 29, 1949 to the late James "Moon" and Geneva (Parsons) Sinor in Akron, Ohio. Jim graduated from East High School where he played football and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and later served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed his involvement with various veterans' groups, shooting, gardening and playing with his grandson.

He is survived by Son, Cory M. (Cherelle Blanton) Sinor of Akron, OH, Grandson, Jeremiah T. Sinor, Grandson-on-the-way, James E. Sinor and Brothers, Michael and Thomas Sinor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery following the funeral service. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project through their website www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
