James E. Younkins, age 82, on Monday, July 9, 2012, dad has gone home to join mom (Luella). Dad was born in Central City, PA to late Edgar and Lucy (Pebley) Younkins. He lived most of his life in Springfield Twp, retired from Lawson's Milk Co. and was a member of Calvary Temple and The Church. He belonged to the Teamsters Local 336 and FOPA Lodge 7. Dad enjoyed being with his family, friends and spending time at Ken's Auto Service with his son, Ken.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Geneieve, Bernice, Ivy, Ida, Martha. Dad will be deeply missed by his children, Barbara, Deborah (Mark), Beverly (Michael), Kenneth (Jenn) and Terry (Rose); 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard; sister, Delores (Paul); brother-in-law, Joseph (Elda), of Johnstown, PA; and sister-in-law, Violet, of Central City, PA.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Calvary Temple, 3045 Albrecht Ave., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., Pastor Lindsey Hayes officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., PO Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398.
