James "Jim" G. Ferguson III, 59, passed away on August 5, 2022 from a long 4 year battle of cancer. He was born on February 13, 1963 to Alice M. {Morris} and James G. Ferguson Jr. of Canton, Ohio. He worked 9 years for Harwick Chemical and then Chemionics for 23 years, as their operations manager.
Jim was the man who could fix anything and everything, you name it. He enjoyed showing off his 1994 Ford Mustang Indianapolis 500 pace car at shows with Abby's 6ft teddy bear in the passenger seat. Another part of the collection was his RV, which he loved to go camping in for family vacations. Most of all, he loved spending his time with his family. Jim and Terri have been married for 35 years this fall, where they met square dancing in the summer of 1982. Which they continued to enjoy country western music and line dancing.
Jim loved helping out with his many fix-it talents. He worked with the Scouts for 11 years. Jim helped out scouts, Aarron, Grant, Donald, Johnathan, Alex, and Kaden obtain their Eagle status. He also tried his hand at growing roses like his grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Ferguson and his father, James G. Ferguson Jr.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Terri (Mocarski) Ferguson; son, Johnathan (Alissa) M. Ferguson and daughter, Abigail R. Ferguson; Granddaughter, Evelyn Hope Ferguson; and sister, Karen (Mike) Johnson.
Visitations will be held Sunday from 11:30 to 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where services will be held at 1:30pm with Deacon Mike Jervis officiating.
