James Winford Finch

James Winford Finch, known to his friends as Jim, passed away at home on November 21, 2023. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on June 3, 1943 to the late Burton and Edith (Turner) Finch. Jim retired from Ohio Edison after over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Amie Fults and brother, Tim Green.
Jim will be dearly missed by his loving partner of 46 years, Connie Ball; children, James A. Finch, Michael (Tammy) Finch, Melissa Finch, Jamie Ball, and Burton Finch; grandchildren, Crystal, Michael, and Alyson; siblings, Ron (Lynn) Finch, Mary Ann Land, and Janie Scissom.
Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
